In 2008, we served more than 14,000 youth, ages 6 to 18. More than 7,500 are Club members; more than 6,500 others are engaged through our programs, partnerships and events. Males comprise 54% of youth served, with females at 46%.
We serve a diverse youth population that is 39% African-American, 25% Latino/Hispanic, 19% Caucasian, 2% Asian, and 15% multi-racial or other. 56% of members are between
6 and 12 years of age.
During the school year, 50% of members visit a Club at least twice per week; 25% visit at least three times per week.
49%* of members responding to our survey have a reported family income under $27K and 60%** do not live with both parents.
