Fun Fact: I write poetry.
It is an extreme passion of mine to travel the world and understand everything I possibly can before I am unable to. But sadly I have noticed that most teenagers don’t share that same passion. I am also interested in discussing political, economic and social issues about my city, country and the world. A majority of the time I talk about these issues I abruptly cut off because my peers don’t find it interesting. They ask me, “Why do you care about places you don’t live or things that don’t directly impact you?” I reply with a look of disappointment and lost hope because I firmly believe that the more knowledge one has the better off you are. There is no doubt in my mind that Yawkey Club of Roxbury teens deserve as much knowledge as they can get. This is why I am an advocate for the Explore India program and that is why I joined for this opportunity.
