Hi BGCB seniors! The BGCB scholarship application is now open! The application is what you will use to apply for the Myra Kraft Giving Back Scholarship, the Common Scholarship, and the newly-formed Dawn Vargas Scholarship (available only to Edgerley Family South Boston Club members). The application includes a description of each scholarship and the criteria for each.
Applications are due Friday, June 5. Before you start, we also recommend having the following ready to upload:
– A resume
– Your high school transcript
– Your financial aid award letter to the college you will be attending
– Your short answer essay responses
– Two letters of recommendation (one must be from a BGCB staff person)
Having these materials ready to go will help you move through the application process faster! The application will also ask about your volunteer experiences, leadership experiences, activities, and honors, so you should be thinking about those as well. If you have any questions about the application or the process please feel free to reach out to Joshua Durando at jdurando@bgcb.org.
The application can be found here! Pro-tip: to avoid having to start your application over, keep the application open on your browser so you can go back to it if you have to stop. and you don’t have to start over!
