Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston Nicholas President and CEO Josh Kraft was published recently in The Boston Globe, urging individuals to get involved in their communities to create social change. His message? If you can say something, you can do something.
Josh started with BGCB nearly 30 years ago at the Edgerley Family South Boston Club where he developed a passion for working with children. After graduating from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Josh returned to BGCB, running our Chelsea afterschool programming in the basement of a housing development. As Executive Director, he spearheaded the construction of today’s Gerald and Darlene Jordan Boys & Girls Club. During his 15-year tenure in Chelsea, Josh worked tirelessly to engage the community and build trust within the city. Today, as Nicholas President and CEO, Josh continues to do this in the eight neighborhoods we serve. He says,
“When you get out and connect with people you never know when that relationship might reveal a synergy or an opportunity. And when you do that good things are going to happen.”
