Welcome to week 21 and post #84 of Club at Home! We’re in week four of summer programming, and while some of our members are back at the Clubs, we know many families are at home. We want to ensure there are fun and educational activities for you wherever you are! Today, find activities for members across all age groups, including Soundtrap drum tips, a short film, a Minute to Win It challenge, resume building, and our final Meet Our Nurses spotlight.

In order to ensure safety and good health for our members, BGCB has hired five additional nurses who are stationed at our Clubs during summer programming. Below, meet Janine, Edgerley Family South Boston Club’s nurse!
“My name is Janine Hanson and I have been working as a registered nurse for two years at BIDMC on their maternity floor. I was born and raised here in Boston— grew up in Hyde Park and currently living in Jamaica Plain. I also just got married!
“I have seen many great things at Edgerley Family South Boston Club— all staff and members consistently wearing their masks appropriately, members abiding by the social distancing six foot stickers on the floors, and continuous cleaning of bathrooms by staff members. Everyone here is continuing to follow all the new safety protocols safely and effectively.
“This is my first year at the Club and I am really enjoying it so far. It is great to work with fellow staff members who are caring, hard working, and dedicated in what they do.”
