Welcome to post #32 of Club at Home! Every day, we share content that brings Club programs, traditions, and staff into the homes of members. Our goal is to provide the same fun and educational activities to our Club members and families, even while Clubs are physically closed.
Today, we check in with staff from our Clubs who share different activities for members across all age groups, including Win It Wednesday, indoor gardening, ab exercises, and more!
Mayor Martin J. Walsh’s Office for Immigrant Advancement created a compilation of resources and services for Boston-based immigrants affected by coronavirus. Click here to read more. A detailed list of local resources for youth and caregivers can be found here. It includes a full list of learning resources and activities, resources for food access, financial relief funds, neighborhood support, and more. The Suffolk County District Attorney’s office has released a comprehensive COVID-19 Resource Guide that provides a complete picture of all resources available to assist with getting through this challenging time.

Smith Family Teen Program Manager Hamza has another Wellness Wednesday workout for BGCB teens. This video focuses on ab exercises, and provides a thorough overview of how to get a great core workout.
Also, Teen Education Coordinator Skyler is back with another math word problem.
Q: Parents donated fudge for a fund raiser for your classroom. 40 pounds of chocolate fudge sold for $2.15 per pound and vanilla fudge sold for $1.90 per pound. The class made a total of $156.30 for the fudge sold at the fundraiser. How many pounds of fudge were sold in total?
A: 77 pounds of fudge were sold in total. (<– In white text)
Explanation:
The word problem is a two-part problem. The first step is to find out how many pounds of vanilla fudge were sold. You have to find the total revenue from chocolate fudge sold by multiplying the pounds of chocolate by the price per pound for a product of $86. You then find the difference of the money from chocolate fudge sold from the class total which leaves you with a difference of $70.30. After that, you find the pounds of vanilla fudge sold by dividing the difference of $70.30 from the fudge price per pound.
Of course, after finding the pounds of vanilla fudge sold which is 37 pounds, you simply add it to the pounds of chocolate which is 40 to find a sum total answer of 77 pounds.
