Established in 1947, the Youth of the Year Award at Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston recognizes Club members who have shown superior leadership, academic achievement, and service to their respective club community. The annual program builds personal growth and leadership qualities among our young members.
Get to know Madison, Charlestown Club member and 2020 Club Youth of the Year:
Madison became a Club member at the age of seven and credits Club staff in making her feel a part of the Club. At the Club, Madison can be found helping out in the Performing Arts program to serving as Keystone Club’s Co-President. She is described by staff as being kind, creative, and always supportive of others.

Outside of the Club, Madison plays softball at Boston Latin School and for Charlestown Girls Softball league. Her leadership and character led her to become an Instructional Coach for Charlestown Girls Softball League. Madison is passionate about helping others and plans to pursue a career in Psychology. She graduated from Boston Latin School in June and plans to attend Stonehill College in the fall.
