Going to India is a great opportunity for teens in my community because they are able to experience how people live in a developing country. In today’s world it is essential to learn different ways of living around the world in order to understand many issues and current events. I expect that this experience will teach me to be more grateful for what I have as opposed to desiring more things that I don’t actually need. Going to India is important not only because it’s a chance to venture outside my comfort zone, it’s a chance to learn from a different culture and expand my mind. This is so important to me that I tried for a second year to earn a spot on this trip. My hard work has paid off and I’m excited to fly to India in February 2017!
