Dear Friends of BGCB,
Today, I am announcing that I will be stepping down from my position as Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston’s Nicholas President and CEO. I will remain in my current position through October, and our incredible Board of Directors will conduct an executive search to identify my successor.
After nearly 30 years with BGCB, including 12 years as Nicholas President and CEO, my work will always connect back to the Clubs and my family’s efforts to support education, families, diversity, and health. I will be moving on to lead philanthropic activities as President of Kraft Family Philanthropies, where I will be managing outreach and efforts for the Kraft Family Foundation, Kraft Center for Community Health, the REFORM Alliance, Foundation to Combat Hate Crimes and Anti-Semitism, and more.
Reflecting back on my time with BGCB, I have spoken often about dedication and resiliency as two of this organization’s most distinguishing qualities. This has never been more true than now. Without question, this has been a most challenging year for BGCB. The one element that has sustained me throughout has been the tireless work of our outstanding staff and their love for the members, families, and neighborhoods that we serve across Boston and Chelsea. As I’ve expressed many times, but especially over the past six months, I am tremendously proud of this organization and every person who makes BGCB what it is: a safe space with caring adults where members are accepted for who they are regardless of background and there are opportunities to grow, learn, express, and achieve. And of course, the organization wouldn’t be where it is today without the unwavering support of its many donors, volunteer, partners, and friends. I am forever grateful for everyone’s caring, hard work, and support.
I look forward to remaining involved with BGCB in the future, and am excited to see what the coming years hold for this exceptional organization that is so close to my heart.
