The Leaders of Boston’s Future are Starting Their Journeys Here.

      Yawkey Club of Roxbury

      115 Warren Street
      Roxbury, MA 02119

Since 1910, Yawkey Club of Roxbury has built a legacy of groundbreaking youth programming for young people in Roxbury and surrounding neighborhoods. Once named The Roxbury Boys Club, the Club merged with our Charlestown Club in 1925 to become Boys Clubs of Boston, a rapidly growing, wide-reaching organization which created stronger programming and better opportunities for youth. To this day, community partnership and collaboration remains a priority for Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston.

In 2006, the Club completed an $8 million renovation and expansion to accommodate its growing membership, and was renamed Yawkey Club of Roxbury in recognition of the Yawkey Foundation’s generous and longstanding commitment to Roxbury’s youth. Under the leadership of Executive Director Andrea Swain, a Roxbury Club alum, Yawkey Club of Roxbury serves more than 1,100 members annually through its trademark programs—everything from travelling swim team and annual member art festivals to a dedicated College Pathways Manager advises teens and alumni on applications, test taking, obtaining degrees, and more.
