A second-generation Roxbury resident, Alisa is a Yawkey Club of Roxbury alumna, where she currently serves as Executive Director. She served on the Yawkey Club’s Local Advisory Board and was chair of its Alumni Association. In addition, she was a member of BGCB’s Board of Trustees.
Alisa is a life-long learner who holds a B. S. degree from Lincoln University (Pennsylvania), Master of Science degree from The New School for Social Research, and J.D. and M. B. A. degrees from Boston College. Alisa is passionate about civic engagement and volunteer service that aims to uplift youth and disenfranchised communities. An active alumna of her alma maters, she is a former member of the Dean’s Alumni Council for The New School for Management and Urban Policy, and the Boston College Law School Alumni Council. Alisa has been an active mentor to Lincoln University students and young alumni and an invited alumna panelist over the years. Alisa is a former board member for the Museum of African-American History (Boston) and The Boston Pearl Foundation, Inc. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Boston College Law School Black Alumni Network and is Chair of the National Ways & Means Committee for the Alumni Association of Lincoln University. Alisa is a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., an international public service sorority. She is the recipient of the 2018 Lincoln University Alumni Service Award and the State Street Corporation 2018 Chairman’s Award for Exceptional Volunteerism in North America.
