Alisa R. Drayton, Executive Director, Yawkey Club of Roxbury, brings a wealth of experience to this role, with progressive experience in corporate, government, and non-profit sectors, most recently as an Assistant Vice President in Global Markets at State Street Corporation.
Previously, Alisa held roles at the City of Boston’s BCYF, John A. Shelburne Center in Roxbury, Covenant House, Rites of Passage Program in New York City, and served as the Director of Development for the East New York Urban Youth Corps in Brooklyn, New York.
As a lifelong learner, Alisa has a B.S. degree from Lincoln University (Pennsylvania), a Master of Science degree from The New School for Social Research, and J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Boston College. Alisa is passionate about civic engagement and volunteer service that aims to uplift our youth. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Boston College Law School Black Alumni Network and is the immediate former Chairman of the National Ways & Means Committee for the Alumni Association of Lincoln University. Alisa is a Life Member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., an international public service sorority.
A second-generation Roxbury resident, Alisa is a proud alumna of the Yawkey Club, a member of the Club Local Advisory Board since 2016, and a member of our Board of Trustees since 2019. In 2020, Alisa was inducted into BGCB’s Hall of Fame.
A fun fact: Alisa once traveled thru Asia for more than two weeks, visiting Seoul, Korea, Beijing, China, Guangzhou, China, and Hong Kong.
