Monday, May 11, 2020

Welcome to week 8 of Club at Home! Every day, we share content that brings Club programs, traditions, and staff into the homes of members. Our goal is to provide the same fun and educational activities to our Club members and families, even while Clubs are physically closed.

Today, we check in with staff from our Clubs who share different activities for members across all age groups, including mindfulness, storytime, “Happy Birthday,” yoga, and more!

Free walk-in testing is now available at Sportsmen Tennis and Enrichment Center in Dorchester. Click here for more details from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and find additional food, housing, and safety resources.

The answer to Friday’s riddle: your name

Arts

Club Director Ms. Marisol challenges you to grow your heart! A symbolic heart, that is. Find items within your home that symbolize some of the things you love. You can use food you love to eat, colors you enjoy using, candles with your favorite scent — whatever you like. Arrange your items in the shape of a heart, like Ms. Marisol has done in her photo on the right. As you find more items, your heart grows. Enjoy “growing!”

Show us your hearts by emailing boysgirlsclubsboston@gmail.com or tagging us at @bgcboston.

Plus, Arts Programs Manager Yury shares a tutorial to make origami flowers!
